STSM Grants

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) are aimed at strengthening existing networks and fostering collaborations by facilitating researchers and scholars participating in the Action to visit an institution in another Country. A STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of the COST Action.

3rd call for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM)

for missions occurring between Jun. 20, 2018 and Apr. 20, 2019.

STSM are aimed at strengthening existing networks and fostering collaborations by allowing Researchers participating in a given COST Action to visit an institution / Organisation in another Participating COST Country / an approved NNC institution or an approved IPC institution. A STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of the COST Action, whilst at the same time allowing those partaking in the missions to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data, instruments and / or methods not available in their own institutions / organisations.

Deadline for applications to be submitted: June 1, 2018 => Extended to June 8, 2018
Notification of application outcome: June 15, 2018
Period of STSM taking place: between June 20, 2018 and April 20, 2019

STSM are aimed at strengthening existing networks and fostering collaborations by allowing Researchers participating in a given COST Action to visit an institution / Organisation in another Participating COST Country / an approved NNC institution or an approved IPC institution. A STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of the COST Action, whilst at the same time allowing those partaking in the missions to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data, instruments and / or methods not available in their own institutions / organisations.

Deadline for applications to be submitted: February 8, 2018
Notification of application outcome: February 9, 2018
Period of STSM taking place: between February 10, 2018 and April 30, 2018

A STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of the COST Action, whilst at the same time allowing those partaking in the missions to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data, instruments and / or methods not available in their own institutions / organisations.

Deadline for applications to be submitted: September 8, 2017 => extended to September 12, 2017
Notification of application outcome: September 30, 2017
Period of STSM taking place: between October 15, 2017 and April 30, 2018
